Sleep is much more than a way to recharge your batteries. It is a key to your overall health and well-being. Too little sleep can lead to accidents caused by fatigue, emotional problems, and can even contribute to chronic health conditions such as diabetes or cardiovascular disease.
Our patients often benefit from the sleep lab at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center. Leroy Seaux, MD, is the medical director of the sleep lab. He and Lucie Lauve, MD, both have years of experience diagnosing and treating sleep disorders including:
- Excessive daytime sleepiness.
- Sleep apnea.
- Delayed sleep phase disorder.
- Non-24-hour sleep wake disorder.
Should you need an in-lab sleep study to determine the cause of your sleep problems, that will be conducted at the Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center sleep lab or at another convenient location. Then, your provider in our office will interpret the results of that study and work with you to determine the best course of treatment.
CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) is a common treatment for sleep apnea and other conditions. Should you need CPAP therapy, you can get your supplies and your treatment assessed and managed here in our office.
