Biography

For more than three decades, Richard Bey, MD, has devoted his professional life to the field of neurology. "I have had the honor of working with a number of great mentors during my career," Dr. Bey shared. "I try to emulate them every day, and I know my patients have benefited from their teachings."

Board certified in both neurology and electrodiagnostic medicine, Dr. Bey enjoys all parts of neurology but especially enjoys helping patients manage neuromuscular disorders. "I became a doctor so I could help patients with their problems," Dr. Bey explained. "I love being able to do that here at Novant Health Winston Neurology. We have a  great team approach to patient care."

When he is not working in the office, Dr. Bey is often working for his family. "We regularly have family gatherings where I love doing the cooking," he said. "My wife, Cheryl, and I have three daughters and two grandchildren, so there's always plenty of food to make!"
