Christine "Lollie" Hagen, MD, is a patient person, a quality that comes in handy when helping her patients tackle headache pain. "Headaches can be tricky to diagnose and treat," Dr. Hagen explained. "I will work diligently to try to improve headache pain to the best of my ability, even if finding the cause or treatment for a patient's headaches is difficult at first. It's a challenging field, but I get such a wonderful feeling when I'm able to enrich someone's life by lessening their suffering."
Dr. Hagen also enjoys headache medicine because of the continuity of care she can provide while helping patients manage their pain. "I get to see patients of all ages, and many times I will see an entire family," she said. "I enjoy establishing ongoing relationships with my patients."
Two daughters keep Dr. Hagen and her husband busy outside of work, and make her empathize with patients who are trying to keep up with busy work and family lives despite headache pain or sleep problems. "Our daughters certainly keep us busy," she shared. "We like to travel, bike, swim, ski and attend church together. I'm grateful for all the time I get to spend and all the activities I get to do with them."
